By accessing or using Camera Cove ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our service.

Camera Cove is a platform that aggregates camera equipment listings from various marketplaces and allows users to list their own equipment for sale. We provide tools for price analysis, product comparison, and user communication, but we do not facilitate, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any transactions.

Camera Cove provides the following services:

• Listing Aggregation: We collect and display listings from third-party marketplaces such as DPreview, Fred Miranda, Nikonians, and others
• Price Analysis: AI-powered tools that analyze market prices and provide recommendations
• User Marketplace: A platform for users to create their own equipment listings
• Communication Tools: Messaging system for buyers and sellers to communicate
• Search and Discovery: Advanced search and recommendation algorithms
• Reviews and Ratings: User feedback system for sellers

Important: Camera Cove acts solely as an intermediary platform. We do not own, sell, or warranty any equipment listed on our platform.

Account Requirement: Access to Camera Cove requires a user account. We use Google Authentication as our sole login method through Firebase.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Promptly updating any changes to your information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

When using Camera Cove, you agree to:

• Provide Accurate Information: All listings, descriptions, and communications must be truthful and accurate
• Respect Intellectual Property: Only post content you own or have permission to use
• Follow Laws: Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Verify Transactions: Independently verify all aspects of transactions before proceeding
• Exercise Due Diligence: Research sellers, check references, and use secure payment methods
• Report Issues: Alert us to suspicious activity, fraud, or Terms violations

You may not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Engage in price manipulation or artificial bidding
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to circumvent our platform for direct transactions to avoid fees
• Use automated systems to scrape or access our data without permission
• Sell prohibited items (stolen goods, counterfeit equipment, etc.)
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or reviews
• Share personal financial information outside our secure messaging system
• Interfere with our platform's operation or security

We are not responsible for:

• The accuracy, legality, or quality of listings from third-party marketplaces
• The authenticity, condition, or functionality of equipment listed by users
• Transactions between users, including payment disputes, delivery issues, or fraud
• Loss of data, profits, or other intangible losses
• Actions or omissions of third-party marketplace partners
• Security breaches affecting third-party sites we aggregate from
• Accuracy of our price analysis or market recommendations

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Camera Cove's total liability exceed $100 or the amount you paid for our services in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Camera Cove aggregates content from third-party marketplaces. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content, websites, or services accessed through our platform.

Your interactions with third-party marketplaces are governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We encourage you to review these policies before conducting any transactions.

Free Services: Browsing and searching Camera Cove is free.

Commission Fees: We charge a small commission only when you successfully sell equipment through our user marketplace. There are no upfront listing fees.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store payment information.

Fee schedules and payment terms may be updated periodically. Current fees are displayed during the listing process.

Camera Cove's platform, including its design, functionality, algorithms, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.

By posting content on our platform, you grant Camera Cove a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating our service.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By using Camera Cove, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Either party may terminate your account at any time. Camera Cove reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, suspicious activity, or at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use our service ceases immediately. However, these Terms will continue to apply to any prior use of our service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Camera Cove will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for injunctive relief which may be sought in court.

Camera Cove reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or prominent notice on our platform.

Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
